Product Development Specialist

AJ has over 20 years of experience as a Software Engineer and System Architect in the medical device industry. The first 18 years of his career he was a development engineer and engineering manager at several medical device startups, with a focus on software development, user interface design, and system architecture. He has experience working with optical systems, energy delivery and control, image collection and analysis, algorithm design and bioinformatics. Since joining the Decus team in 2016, AJ has been working directly with client engineering teams to help navigate the demands of working in a regulated environment and ensuring compliance to software development standards. This includes documenting all aspects of software development and testing.  AJ holds a B.S. in Physics and minor Mathematics from Hobart College, and an M.S. in Ocean Engineering (with focus on electrical engineering) from the University of New Hampshire.
